If you found our snaky page then you should know that this handsome snake is Dr. Inky, San Marcos High School’s official literary magazine’s mascot. Please keep your eyes peeled in the future to learn more about our literary connoisseur.
But, for now, here is a poem from our mascot himself.
-Ink & Venom Staff

Oh soft season, where procrastination sings
Days cold clamber on, nights lengthen and prolong
Learning soon to break, students sprouting wings
For now we trudge together strong
Creativity, rattle on, lying perpetual in dreamings
Many rattlers hum along, individual ephemeral song
Voices low yet to speak, stories untold yell our meanings
To abyss yells now sent, absent now, from our throng
Platform spring from inky pen, share voice to any friend
Publish possible, here for all, no more shall hit a wall
As thankful times travel near, days to reflect now here
Read it all, enjoy the art, our community’s hand to lend
Submit today! stand up tall, each piece beautiful with all
Celebrate without fear, come join and hear our cheer!
